Today marks the 82nd birthday of Thelma Lawrence, my deceased grandmother. I cannot believe she is gone. I can remember like it was yeaterday with her taking my siblings and I all over New York and showing us the ropes. My favorite moments will always be when she took us to Coney Island, an amusement park in Brooklyn. When we used to go she used to let us ride whatever we wanted and before we left, she would make sure to stop at the candy shop by the train station to get treats. I would always opted for the carmel candied apple. I truly miss my grandmother and her antics. She was full of life, stories and messages. She will and always be my heart.
