Jessica had a birthday party

The birthday girl
One of the reasons, I left DC to go back to my stomping grounds was to attend my godsister's 25th birthday party at Retreat Lounge. Jessica, is someone I knew since I was born. She is more of what I call my life friend and someone that has been there since day one.

The night of her party was wild. I documented every action and move of the night with my camera. LOL A lot of her friends came out to show their support. We left the club at around 4am to try to catch a cab to the IHOP on 135th.

As we were outside waiting for a cab, there was at least 8 of us trying to go the same route. We were able to get in a mini-van but had to get out because we were one person over the capacity of the taxi regulations. We hopped out and decided to split up. One cab filled with people left and Jessica, her two friends, and I were left to fend for ourselves to find a cab. As we stood on the corner, a white gentleman stood with us and walked to another corner to catch a cab. As we stood on the corner, he rode pass us in his cab. We kept standing on the corner determined to catch a cab until a couple walked up in front of us and was able to catch a cab. Needless to say if you are trying to get a cab from downtown to uptown, it's more than likely tha you will not catch a cab. This made me ponder about Danny Glover and his statement about not being able to catch a cab in New York City. Fed-up with taxis, we took the train.

Angel, Jess, and Charlie
IHOP was another adventure. Drunk people and ladies exposing their boobage in the early mornings. After I ate, I was able to take a cab to my grandma's house and was prepared to wake up an hour later to take my cousin to ice skating practice.
